The crash happened Thursday afternoon, Aug. 18, when a truck careened off the road and into a parked car in front of Lynn's Variety store on Washington Street, WCVB reported. The impact caused the truck and car to crash through the front of the building.
Reports said three people were inside when the crash happened, but none were hurt. Officials told the news station that the truck driver had a medical emergency and that caused him to swerve into the building.
The damage to the 915 Washington St. street store left the building structurally unsound, WCVB said. Engineers were working late Thursday to sure up the structure.
Police have not released an update on the man's condition.
